Furniture Cleaning Advice

If you own a hotel, bar or a restaurant then it is important you have your contemporary furniture cleaned on a weekly basis. It is important to clean the furniture on a regular basis whether it is made of wood or steel. Furniture can attract dusts and these dusts brings in moisture which will then soften the wood in the furniture so clean it on a regular basis furniture for hotels, cafe furniture, hotel furniture & restaurant furniture.

If you don't clean the furniture then your newly bought furniture will start looking soggy and old after few months of buying it. By cleaning and polishing the furniture will certainly last for a long period of time. You will be saving money on a long term because of this regular cleaning. I opened a restaurant 14 months ago and bought some modern furniture for my restaurant, which still looks clean and new. The wooden furniture is cleaned thoroughly before opening the restaurant and also after the closing the restaurant. We polish the steel furniture on a weekly basis but clean the dust on a daily basis.

My restaurant also has a lounge where there are some comfy sofas, where customers can relax before and after the meal and have few drinks. The lounge and furniture gets cleaned every day. This has helped my furniture to still look new and modern. It did save me a lot of money as I have not spend a single penny on furniture ever since.

If you are looking for products to clean your furniture then you will be able to find them in your local store or search on the Internet. You will find lots of resources online so I would suggest you to do your research on the Internet before hitting the market.

Our gift of love for Jolene

My wonderful friend Jolene, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only it was a complete shock to all of us, but is was so hard to believe since she is so young (her youngest is only 8 years old). So I got together with some other talented ladies in our neighborhood and we decided we were going to make a special quilt for Jolene...

As soon as the word spread it was wonderful to see the support of our friends. Many wanted to do something to help us to get this quilt done. Everyone brought flannel scraps and we got measuring and cutting and sewing - putting it all together.

Since we did not want to leave any fabric out, we even made some crazy squares like these:) We wanted to be this a personal as possible so Jolene could feel loved by us all.

The result was so beautiful! It matched Jolene's living room nicely. I will never forget her surprise, when we gave it to her. This was a perfect gift for her because every time she uses it from now, she will remember that she is not alone. It was so wonderful to get together with others and feel like we could do something together little to lift Jolene's burden.

Now she has a quilt like no other, made with love and appreciation for her by her neighbours. I am so glad I love making quilts and could brighten Jolene's day and I am so grateful for wonderful neighbors like mine.

This is a hand decoupaged bowl using a collection of old stamps from all over the world.
The stamps ar applied carefully one by one & the bowl is them glazed with a special clear coating which makes the end finish very smooth & glossy. teh lacquer also really brings out the ink colours in the stamps

Map chair

The chair shown here is hand covered in a vintage edition map of the east London area. The map is cut into small squares using the printed grid lines & then joined back together with the Thames river flowing across the seat & then across the back of the chair.

WE ARE NO LONGER NETWORKING ON FACEBOOK AS A GROUP

I told you that last month we started a group called Interior Design Team and we were doing all the networking trhough FaceBook. We loved it, because it was so easy to communicate. That was until I got an email from Pam Rice, telling me about their unfavorable Terms of Services.

I looked into it and was very surprised to find out what is actually said. I am not going to go into all the details here. Suffice to say that their Terms of Service are unacceptable for any Etsy seller, or any artist or craft maker.

It is too bad, but since we move on and are currently networking in our private forum on NING.com.

FACEBOOK and ONLINE MARKETING

Here is what I learned about online marketing on FACEBOOK so far...

You can:

1. Invite your customers to be your friends on FaceBook. You will get to know them better and they will be more loyal to you in return.

2.You can also create a separate page for your business. (Click on "Businesses" at the bottom of the page).

3. You can advertise on FaceBook.

4. If you have a blog, there is an application that you can use to put updates from your blog onto your profile page so all your friends can see it.

5. As an Etsy Seller you can use an application to showcase your Etsy Store on your FaceBook profile.

6. You can network with others using groups.

I HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS AND SOME BAD NEWS...

BAD NEWS FIRST

Last week I had my first wonderful Giveaway and had so much fun doing it, but yesterday I learned that Giveaways are really complicated from a legal stand point and therefore strongly discouraged. An attorney for Etsy, Sara, wrote an article about it and you can read it here: http://www.etsy.com/storque/section/etsyNews/article/promoting-your-etsy-shop-contest-alternatives/1223/

Basically, when having Giveaways, there are so many things to take into a consideration that it is almost not worth it. After considering everything I have decided that I will not offer Giveaways in the future so I can keep things less complicated.

NOW THE GOOD NEWS IS

That does not mean you will not be able to receive a free gift in the future!

It only means that I will have to structure it differently. For example, I can send you a free gift as a "Thank you" when you participate in my sale event. Or I can send free gifts to everyone on Christmas to say "Thank you for being a loyal customer" and so forth.

I hope this does not discourage you. I will still offer wonderful discounts and other sale events to make it worth your while! And as I said before these will be avaliable only to my blog subscribers and I will not post them anywhere else on the Internet.

AND HERE IS MY NEW DESIGN "ELEGANCE"

It is so elegant that this is one of very few lines where I will make more than 2-10 pillows per collection. Gold, black and white are so universal that this pillow will go with almost any setting. Personally it is my favorite color combination. I used satin to give the white squares extra luster.

My last, but not the least favorite design is Modern Victorian. This design is very elegant and classy and combines both styles in a simple way. I am looking for boutiques nationwide that could carry this design for me. So eventually it will be available through designated sellers as well.

There are so many beautiful Victorian prints in fabric stores, that this line will have hundreds of variations. I am very excited about that.

Anyone who loves Victorian Style can now enjoy it with a modern touch to it so it is not so quite antique.

All of my pillows are limited edition and I will not make more than 10 pillows per collection. This particular pillow is the only one available. I do not have the main theme fabric anymore.

Here is another pillow that is beautifully simple. It is form the same line "Easter Is Coming". Because not everyone likes the bold look of black and white checks and so here is an alternative. It is very modern looking, almost like a framed picture. In the future, I will do different variations of this look as well. I also want to add little accessories to go with it as time goes by.

One thing to keep in mind. I love creating pillows that resemble my own style and so I will add new pillow designs each month. My pillows are one of a kind and except 2 lines you will not see more than 2-10 pillows made per collection. This way I can keep creating new beautiful designs without any limitations. If you would like to have more than one item from a specific design, you can order up to 10 items per custom order where indicated. Please email me, and we will work out the details.

MY EASTER DESIGN 1

This is my favorite design at this point, I called it "Easter Is Coming" ,it reminds me of spring coming soon ... And judging by the number of clicks I get on my Etsy online store, viewers like it the most as well. I love how simple and bold it is at the same time. I am working on different variations and soon I will give you some sneak peeks soon.

I will add new products in this line in the future. It will be so much fun to have little accessories, like jewelery and magnets, to go with it. Eventually I want to big things as well, like curtains, table runners, bedding, scarfs, art prints and anything else I can think of.

One think I am really proud of in this particular design is my straight squares. Anyone who sewed small squares before would know how hard it is to get it done just right. Well, one thing I will guarantee at all times, is that my squares will always be perfect.

I am originally from Slovak Republic, Europe and I have always loved art. As a child, I enjoyed making all sorts of things. Having a career in a creative field has been a life-long dream.All through school, art classes were my favorite. From age five old until I turned 15, I went to our Town Art school, where I have learned everything from illustration, sculpture, quilting, photography, collage, etc. It was a wonderful time enhancing my love and feel for color. Later I taught art classes for mentally handicapped children for a year.Then took a break from everything until NOW...

I decided to pursue my dream and become a designer.This is just the beginning, and I am very excited to grow, learn and inspire. Over the past four years I have come to love working with fabric. I started quilt making and later moved to art quilts. My favorite technique is Watercolor Landscape Art Quilts.All artists work with color. As a quilter, I rely upon the designs and colors that are already built into the fabric surface. My palette is determined by searching, collecting and trading available fabrics. Because of an amazing variety of prints available today, my choices are unlimited.I design and construct my quilts using 2" squares of different fabrics to create a scene. This watercolor quilt technique is named for its similarity to watercolor painting. The fabrics move smoothly from dark to light, similar to running colors into one another when painting with watercolor. In addition, I also work with fusing and fabric painting to add more interest and depth in the quilt.

But enough about that for now. I am happily married, and my husband and I have two wonderful kids. We live in beautiful Utah and love it.
